About David Schmeeckle
Learning to fly a Cessna 170 tail drag-er at the age of twelve by his Grandfather William J. Lively. Photography became an essential part of capturing the beauty of God's creation as seen from above. What I captured is only a remnant of the beauty of the beginning of our existence on this earth. Photographic records of the aftermath of the earths changing history. The devastation and change that occurred when the firmament (ice and water) layers surrounding our planet, fell to earth, flooding the entire planet. Climate changed due to the loss of that protective firmament, the polar caps froze and nearly 1/2 of the earth was covered in ice. Earths core eruptions along with the massive weight of the water forced the earths crust up and down, shifting the continents and creating the massive mountains ranges and lakes, that I photograph. Fortunately life stored within the seeds and Ark repopulated the growth of our world and provided the wonderful landscape of colors for the photos. Since then to today you can still see the receding polar caps. And as the the Earths Engine, the Core, burns from within, climates, the oceans, the landscape will continue to be in flux, ever changing as captured in my photographs. Photographs printed on canvas and stretched on the frames provided the nearest representation of the actual events.
